CANVAS Workshop - Creating Affirming Spaces for Youth

Toronto Pflag is a volunteer-run, registered charitable organization. Through support, education and advocacy, Toronto Pflag works to create a more accepting society for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals and their families, friends and allies.

Toronto PFLAG offered the introductory workshop below to TDSB parents, which focused on the following topics: 

    - The basics of sexual orientation and gender;

    - Inclusive parenting;

    - The Golden Rule (wait for them to tell you and let them drive); and

    - The coming out conversation (and how it is easy to have).
